Katika Funnell, Acupuncturist, now joining a Medical Practice.

Each new year brings new challenges. Katika is glad to announce that she will be joining The Terrey Hills Family Surgery as of 1st August 2018. This means unfortunately she'll be closing down her Elanora Heights wing of her practice.

Thankyou to Green Door

A BIG Thankyou to Fin Mackenzie at Green Door Health who has helped me branch out into other locations this past 12 months. She is supportive of Natural Medicine and it's practitioners, 100%. I can highly recommend her for your Naturopathy needs, particularly children's health.

For those of you that live Narrabeen and northbound, my new address will be:

50 Booralie Rd, Terrey Hills

and you can now leave messages for Katika at reception at Terrey Hills Family Surgery for bookings and appointments.

Or, you can continue to book online faster, with the NEW upgraded ezybook system.

To be invited into a Medical Practice to work alongside Doctors, has been an opportunity that I couldn't turn down. Simply because I would rather work WITH Western Medicine and use an integrative approach.

This doesn't change how I approach clients from a TCM perspective, but it can shed some light onto difficult conditions and give the client peace of mind and reassurance, of which I am a big advocate. I can continue to give the client Chinese Medicine strategies within a larger wellness plan that your doctor (if they're open to it) supports.

This is a step forward in Australia, where health is becoming more integrated. It has always been this way in China, where acupuncture doctors and Western Medical Doctors work alongside each other in their hospital system. I witnessed this for myself when I did a clinical internship back in 2002.

I am grateful to Dr Javad Maleki for his open-minded invitation and I look forward to seeing you at the new practice.
