After beginning her practice in 2003 at the age of 22, Katika still thoroughly enjoys Chinese Medicine and is fascinated by its potential to help people recover, faster.

Painless Acupuncture has been a cornerstone of her treatments for 12 years. Communication with her clients is also important and helps to demystify the Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine experience, so they get the maximum benefit from a session. Katika enjoys treating patients who haven’t had Acupuncture before or are anxious about the process, because “To see the pleased look on clients faces about how painless it is, along with the improvement and relief the client experiences, makes a real difference to them.”

She has a Health Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It’s not common knowledge that Chinese Medicine is a 4 year Bachelor Health Science degree, which she completed at UTS.

Katika worked with a mentor for 5 years during her studies and early stages of developing her practice. Her experience was broadened further in 2002 when she completed a 6 week internship in China and for that, earned a Certificate of TCM from Hangzhou Red Cross Hospital in Zhejiang Province.

She’s currently registered with AHPRA for Acupunture & Chinese Medicine and a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.
